Hi everybody! Here you are some pics of my first simple mod (newbie style :D )

This is the averall view of my mod:

This is the circuit (sorry 4 bad pic):

This is the front, without the case:

Just a piece of "that one with little holes for circuits" which I painted black with a special spray color for Warhammer soldiers, color is "Chaos Black" and fixed it to the bone of the case thanks to those holes in the metal. I soldered (is that correct?) all the leds a the right height to touch the front panel. the round white led is a separate circuit that substitutes the power led...

This is how I modified the floppy drive cover FRONT and BACK:

Just made a rectangural hole and glued with Loctite a rectangular portion of plexiglass ("fumé") 5mm thick.

I alos have a .mov of the running circuit but it's 4megs... I can upload it if you want.

    ciao,
    jack.

ps. sory but I dont know english electronics words :p

Yeah I know it's amazig, i really couldnt believe how easy it is to cut that kind of plastic. it is quite resistant and you can make very clean works on it.
Since I dont know english names 4 the tools I have used here you are the pic:
