you dont need a dual rad w/ only one block so save money there and get a chipset of a video block. and go with ehiem over they hydor. and make sure you have the same size barbs on everything. You might get better prices direct from dangerden.com

I don't think what he's doing is wrong, but linking to the pics alone is. That would be by using an image tag to steal bandwidth, which isn't what he's doing.

The rad and pump are excessive, especially for a single block. A few users here report that their Hydor L30 is great for their excessive use.

The BIX2 is $102 at Danger Den, vs $99 at Frozen CPU. The Hydor L35 is $64 at Frozen CPU, while it's only $54 at DD. The TDX is $52.95 at both places.

I missed that part, and I even missed the "stealing bandwidth" part too. :duh: That's what happens when you arrive late and don't read the fine print.

Well if he saved money by getting a single rad and bought a chipset/video block then he would no longer have a single block. Dual rads aren't that much more anyway and give headroom to add blocks at a later date if required.

but having a dual rad even with 2-3 blocks is overkill
i doubt he will be running that hot to nessasitate it.

Not true, a dual rad outperforms a single easily. and running 2/3 blocks on a single isn't brilliant.

Considering Cpus and gpus are getting hotter. Its better for future upgrades.

Plus with a dual rad you hae the option of runningfans at lower rpm.

/offtopic, would it be ok to run a triple rad with 2 block fanless?

/ontopic looks nice. that res is a little different :thumb:

Possibly, depends what you're cooling. However tripple rads are still designed for fan cooling rather than passive (convetion-cooled) rads.

I'd of thought it'd be ok, aslong as your aren't trying to cool to much.

But you'd be better sticking them all on 7v if your doing it for silence.
