    Little River products

Click on Ordering and Pricing and there is an option for a AUD$18 A64 conversion plate.

Add to that I direct you to this Procooling thread.

To be perfectly honest Ferrari your answers show a slight lacking in knowledge of waterblock design. Especially with respect to the flow of water and its tendancies.

There are several threads over in procooling, some of which include CFD analysis which I've put up on dimples and other forms of waterblock "turbulence" creators, it may benefit you to go have a look and understand Fluid Dynamics more than Thermodynamics. For in a waterblock, it is more of the fluid dynamics side of the equation that determines the effectiveness of a block, not the thermodynamics.

Its good to see others making blocks, its always greatly encouraged dont get me wrong, but it takes a strong man to be able to accept criticisim and mistakes which are pointed out to him.

Most of of the issues with ur block stem from the choice of material aluminum which MUST be anondised if you wish to sell it. The sealing of the block besides just a metal seal. Over time that will leak. And the basic fluid dynamics within the block which will cool a IHS CPU relatively well, but the understanding behind why it does so seems flawed.

Hey dudes, I think you're making too much of a big deal about this. I mean, look, ferrari went through a bunch of work desinging and having his own waterblock made, and even if he doesn't understand some of the stuff he's talking about his block doesn't look that bad.
I don't think he copied off cathar or anything, it sounds like he just set out to make a waterblock that will perform well and now he wants to sell it, what's the big deal? So what if he tried to sound cool or something, he's just supporting his work.

Good job on making a decent looking A64 block ferrari :thumb:

While Im not a genius in cooling this statement would almost certainly make me worried about purchasing said product

Besides that I would also like to see some sort of o ring or extra leak protection. The copperbase would also be nice, and instead of aluminum maybe plexi? I like they way it looks but It looks to be that it might leak..

The get out claws is pretty standard stuff really.........you will find most companies use one.

However your other concern about the lack of gasket does set the alarm bells ringing and I find the use of locktite to create a permanent bond between the two metal a bit of a make-shift fix.

Having said that, if this issue was addressed and more extensive testing done it would be good to see this block reviewed by independent reviewers!

    He's linking to http://69.139.9.86:83/ferrari/MY ROXOR BLOCK/R0X0RBLOCK/Cu/P0007601.jpg

I think its the Port 83 is the problem, and I have no idea why he is using it as it. Tbh, if can't manage to host pics competently he's goin to have trouble trying to sell a product. Oh and before anyone says I should look at my firewall settings, I really don't plan to for this!

by the looks, it's only running through aluminium, the copper is just added to the base, I don't know whether that would be efficient or not.

Again, people make too much of this mixed metals business. A car cooling circuit mixes a lot of metals. But do you see car mechanics worry about that? Nope, just a good corrosion inhibitor (e.g. Zerex Racing) will do nicely.

Sory bigZ but the Cu was NOT just added to the Al base. That is a solid Cu base.
