Hello ! One day, about at 1 AM during a MSN conversation i realised that i had to do something special with my case for the upcoming lanparty, where casemode contest took place. (The deadline was 1 week, so realization suffered because of this very badly. So if you are pro modder and you dont like rough edges, you shouldnt watch this worklog. :D But the idea is quite original and insane, so i thought, that maybe its fun to you to see it. SO, ITS ALL ABOUT THE IDEA !) Then i went to the basement, and i was searching something, where to put my PC. So finally, i found this  : [IMG]
Its pretty dirty, as it should be. It is used about 6..7 times. :D
    [IMG]
After some minutes of cleaning, it looked quite good.
As you see, the fire damage is minimal.
So, the barbecue seemed to be suitable. Then I stripped my old case.
Wirefire, sound card and graphics card. You can also see the time .
The next morning, i went to shop to buy some supplies.
I thought, its so easy and just installed the mobo tray onto the grid.
Unfortunately, the CPU cooler was too high and the cover wouldnt be closed.
Meanwhile I cut this hole for PSU to exhale nicely.
Damn, it is so ungly, but it was a quick way to do that and also quite strong. :worried:
Aluminium rod installed for mounting PSU.
Better mesh installed. I also cut another hole in the bottom of the case for PSU inhale.
Two aluminium rods installed for MOBO tray.
So, finally, the base of the case is done.
    Mobo fits there quite precisely.:worried:
Holes drilled for lights and switches.
Mobo tray final coat of color.
    The bottom side repainted.
The final mount of the base. :thumb:
All the necessary stuff installed. I could have put the CD-rom to the bowl under the case itself. But as i said, i have limited amount of time and the wire wasnt long enough.
The first test to run my comp was fortunately successful.
I think it looks good, i think the others will think the same... at least the first impression would be good. Maybe, someone doesnt like the CD-rom, but its impossible to cover up aircooled PC, so that slit is necessary.
Hole made for cables and edge is sleeved with a rubber from old wire.
An unpainted holder made, just to keep it more cool.
The ruins of my old and ugly case. :D
    [IMG]
Lan party look. ( The cooler is temporary)
And the final result is : second place on Esports Arena.
I am very pleased with the results :thumb: and i won 2 UV cathodes and 2 effect coolers.
At the end of this summer, i will post a absolutely opposite log- about serious modding:dremel:.
I hope it will be nice...

Nice work, a very odd and ironic for a pc to stay cool in a bbq.. curious.. does it have decent temps in there? as Im sure bbq's are designed to like, prevent heat escaping? Either way n1 defiantly achieved the unique look. I wonder what people thought when someone wheels in a bbq up to there desk. lol

Just make sure you don't mix it up this summer :eeek:

Pretty nice little mod, I like the second to last shot most.

Now you should connect the grille up to the CPU with heatpipes and use it to cook food.

Actually, there are problems with keeping temperature low, especially during lanpartys, when PC runs for hours. But, but im not so devoted to gaming, so few minutes brake is not a problem to me. When I arrived at the party, the reactions where quite funny. But still some guard asked, if my mom didn´t feel sorry to me, but i wish i had said, that - dont your mom doesnt feel sorry for you because you are so unoriginal and dont respect those who dare to be different :nono: .But im happy you rather like it.

Nice work - what would look good would be the lid closed with the drives stealthed into the side - maybe a future project?

If I had a grill like that, I would stealth mod it, and then use some WC, since that would make it near silent, and no need for huge openings. :D
