Xbox 360 My Big Daddy is Busted :(

I have just taken delivery of My Bioshock Collectors Edition and my Big Daddy Figure is busted.

No, get in touch with 2k (there's a link on their forums) and they'll send you a box to return your BD in, to get you a replacement. They will also send you a printed copy of the free art book as an apology.

don't be sad that the figure is busted, be happy that you will get a properly printed copy of the artbook while the rest of us have to make do with a PDF!

Not sure. They are not plastic, which is what I was expecting. From the break, I would have said plaster but there is a bit of a sparkle like marble. Dont know.

 

Probably resin, really good for detail work, but prone to shattering on breaks making clean repairs difficult.

 

I have a voucher from GAME so I will pick it up tomorrow

My impression is that resin is quite soft, though not malleable--like raisins, honestly. My Yuna figurine is resin and I've dropped it many times without it ever breaking; just a *thud*.

 

Maybe there are different kinds of resin, I have one or two of the Forgeworld Games Workshop collectors models from back when I played warhammer, and dropping one of those caused a nasty break.

 

I checked the link and it only mentions USA and Canada. I sent an e-mail to ask what they plan on doing with those in the UK who receive a broken Big Daddy. Ill wait and see what they say.

 

I'm not even getting my copy that I pre-ordered.

Aperently gamestop was only holding pre-orders till 5 p.m. last night. I went at 7 p.m., and my copy was sold.

So much for getting the CE.
