A good review overall I wasn't to keen on the amount of focusing going on, a little less and it'd be easier to see what you were talking about.
I own one of these and the are disappointingly huge for an ITX case. Same hight as my mATX case and its a bit wider too. Also it wobbles and is rather unstable, especially when trying to use the side panel. Defiantly not family build friendly. First Mod I would suggest is stable feet, like some nice full metal/rubber feet. If you are building for a non-mod/PC enthusiast I would highly recommend a different case. If you want a smaller then mATX PC then do not buy this case. This guy is a great alternative if you do not need the EXTRA space: coolermaster-elite120-500w-elite120a-elite500 OR With out PSU: coolermaster-elite-120-mini-itx-case
Whilst it is indeed larger than other mITX cases it can fit more and can also run full sized GPU setups which makes it very ideal for the enthusiast/LAN gamer IMO. But of course, if you are going down the HTPC route then this might not be the case for you.
Tj08e is the best sff case, smaller than a prodigy and can fit even more in including 2 gpus if they are single slot or watercooled!
I would agree if they fix the wobble issue. As it is I would only recommend if you are going to watter cool it. As the rig in my sig is close enough to the same size over all and fits a: mATX MOBO, H80 and a Sound card, the LAN argument is weak at best.
I have the prodigy, and yes, it is big for a mITX case... but I have a full size gfx card, arctic 13 cooler, ATX power supply, several hard drives with some space left over, DVD drive etc. There isnt much room left over, I dont see how it could be much more efficient with its space usage
Indeed. It can fit 5 Full sized 3.5 inch drives and an additional 2 SSD's. That's more Sata ports than most mITX motherboards even have. Also just saw a picture of an ARES II card in one of these cases as well which is absolutely insane.
Tj08e can fit 4x 3.5" and 1 ssd, as well as big (and I mean 11") gpus with room to spare. Plus you have 2 optical drives which can easily be turned into more drive bays or reservoir for a 200mm radiator and 120mm radiator. The prodigy is nice but the whole point of it being itx is to be compact and it isn't. As many mods have proved you can fit a m-atx board in there without too many issues and if this was actually the case I would definitely switch.
