Modding My Case Update

    Ingredients: a Lian Li case, a very bored me, a bit of dremel, some sticky pads, a soldering iron and some bloo LEDs.

    Heres the resulting steathing and LED changes.

    Looks very nice - very macro esque! But it would look nicer still if you put bl00 leds for the cd drives, and maybe more leds behind the grilles - to give a more even lighting effect. Just my 2p :p

    The case looks sweet man, but the cow thing around the monitor, thats just........wrong...........

    nice case. you need to change the cd leds to like blue....to match the other ones.

    Nice work, wont mention the cowprint though ;) is that P3 heatsink on a gateway motherboard though :eek: I had that exact same setup myself a while back

    Fly mate where did you buy that hard drive caddy from?

    If you remove the drive in its caddy does a flap come down to cover the gap. I'm after a good HDD caddy myself but all the ones I have seen leave an ugly hole inside the case when you take the caddy out, rather than covering it with a swish flap :D

    Yep, you can get them from.... surprisingly... MAPLINS! I use them myself no problem and they are a shop stocked item. you can get spare caddies too so you can swap drives around. I can't remember order codes off the top of my head but have a shufty! :)

    Thanks dude :D mine would be getting the black paint job mind ;)

    If you remove the tray, does a flap come down to cover the gap? (Don't want my sister dropping god knows what into an empty hole in the case!)

    Or do no HDD caddys have this :(

    Cheers Fly :) just what I was looking for! All the ones sold near me are cheapo tat which just leave a gap if u remove the tray

    I have a load of CC to add to it at some stage but as you can see you cant see the side of it where it is. I'll wait until I get a new desk for that. I have an LCD to add to it once I get it working...Grrrr, bloody thing. Then I'm not sure, maybe a row of LEDs at the top of the case scrolling across...ooops...maybe not!
