The fan on my Ati 9800 pro went out so I popped a 80mm on top of my sound card blowing onto my video card. Haha. Its still under warrenty but don't feel like waiting 3 weeks for a new card. Then early yesterday I stuck my hand on my heatsink and my finger clipped the HS fan and ****ing broke off a fin. So now its running 2000rpm and shaking like a bitch. Its pretty funny and I'm broke as hell so its going to stay like this for a few weeks until I get a job. ^_^
Did you break a fin on the 80mm or on the HS fan? If you broke it on the 80, simply replace it with another?
Broke the fin on my HS fan. I'm suprised I didn't get my finger ripped off and I'm suprised the damn thing broke. It was that circular Zalaman one. Can't find my stock HS anywhere. I popped a fan controller on and down clocked my CPU a lil bit to reduce vibration and heat.
Try emailing Zalman's support. They are very helpful and if you claim that the fan "broke" (that way you aren't lying becuase it did break, you just don't have to go any further lol), then they'll probably send you a new fan free of charge
