as i said before, i had a p182b, and going from that, it's a little on the loud side for me. understand that the p182b was a phenomenal case with very solid cooling and amazing sound suppression. it's hard to go from near silence to anything less...hell, my work pc case is a sonata...anyway, looks like you can pm now, so let me know if ur interested.

Thanks but I am going to get the case as a gift so I might as well get a new one. I appreciate the offer! If anyone else has better case suggestions, I am open to comments. I would prefer to get everything ready to plug in and not have to mix and match fans/cases.

    lol...k

not going to force it on ya or anything...the money saved could go to other components but w/e...with a $3000 budget sounds like more money than sense anyway...personally, with that budget, you could grab an ft-02 or w/e the current version is...

I actually seriously considered the FT-02, and I am still not sure if I am going with it or the Raven.

Quite a similar build to mine, with simlar plans for future.

Would an AX850 be enough for two 580 SC's?

I was thinking of getting the AX1200 soon and another 580 SC in the future, with the option of a WC loop even further down the line.

If an AX850 is plenty for all of this and just as quiet as the 1200, I could save some cash..

Oh and with your kind of budget, I would heavily recommend the U2711, I am still amazed by looking at it every day! And the spec listed will pretty much max everything at 2560x1440, even more so once you/we go SLI.

most sli 580 reviews i saw had a hungrier cpu than you have, and pushed wattage up around the 700's in terms of entire system power draw...so, it would handle it, but man you would be cutting it close...prolly better get a tad more...

I have already changed my build to include an Antec HCP 1200 so I don't have to worry about future power issues.
