Dont throw ur busted mobos just yet peeps! a few weeks ago my old trusty BE62 with celery 1.2@1.55gig blew its caps 4 the second time only this time replaceing them didtn work 4 some reason. me mobo wos fu bared proppa, so i wos forced 2 buy a IT7 max2 adn a p4 2gig C1 hehe! ne way iv given it 1 more good bash b4 throwing it away (really carnt bare to i love that mobo!) and after an hour or so if fixed it yeayyy!! basically i built up a parralel combination of caps equaling 4500uf wich wos the proppa value tryed more and less but no joy. still no joy getting randon errors on my post display. quick look on the scope on a cap leg - i assume its a filter stage of some sort so i expect a nice clean dc line. but no loads of noise,bust be my crappy jamicon caps, so i bang in the biggest cap i can find 2 decouple 2 psu ground and had a mega effect ! /edit had 2 take off the cap because of mobo and case mounting problems cap 2 big. thus the cap now (ceramic disc jobby) acts as a "suppersor" so 2 say still cleans up the noise fine. so now the system boots np but my keyboard dont wrk /cunning plan... i take me bleeper and find the keyboard and mouse fuse's r blown so a wire link and a button press l8a and were in action p.s is it wise 2 short the fuse or should i get new fuses?
