what are the switches on the right hand side on your case?

And is the fan on the right your exhaust fan? if so probably not the best place to put it. it would have been more effective as a chimney fan, cos your case is a midi tower, that fan is going to be directly infront of your psu, now the fan on the psu sucks air/blows out, this is to cool the trasformers and the psu. so your exhaust fan is going to be competing with this fan not causing the best air flow. I personaly would have put that fan toward the front of the top or the case or on the window to blow on the PCI cards or under the psu.

Anyhave it looks good especialy as its your first mod.
on the cable situation try the ATA 100 ones but make sure the drives are conected to the right part of the cable, master for master and slave for slave.

One switch is for the lite and other switches the exhaust fan from 12v to 7v, i put the fan there because thats where most of the heat on my case seems to collect, it draws air in vents up the back, lower front and i have an empty slot under vid card. When its on 12v it draws air pretty good, dunno if itll get a buncha dust bunnies inside, i hope not 8)

PS: Ive tried the cables both ways on the drives, also tried with an ata100 ribbon on em, still wont boot, i get a blu screen saying "check for virus, run CHKDSK /F, or remove any new drives or controllers. Ive check for virii and done chkdsk /r, there is no /F flag for it. Nothing helps, only way i can boot is to put the ata66 ribbon back on it 8/

ATA 66 cables are the same thing as ATA 100 any way i think. I'm pretty sure that ATA 60 cables will do ATA 100 anyway. Is it just one cable you have that's not working?

batsman is right, udma 66/100/133 are all the same cable (80-pin), udma 33 is 40-pin... must be a knackered cable
