After months of reading reviews, checking and double checking, I came to the conclusion that the Define R3 was for me. It was in budget and I could add some fans to it. Then my wife takes a look and says that she doesn't like it and the Silverstone Fortress FT02 is much nicer and we can pay the extra to buy it because it looks so nice (yes yes I know. I can here the whip too). Fantastic I think, love the fortress, wanted that all along. But no stock until the middle of May. It's been in stock everywhere for months. :wallbash: I can buy the special edition for less than a non windowed version, I can buy the 1.7 version with a wide window. But can I find a supplier in the UK with stock of the non-windowed version? Can I ********.

    Rant over:eyebrow:

Does anyone know where I can buy a Silverstone fortress ft02b without a window? I have searched but am hoping that I am missing the obvious.

Might be easier to change Wife rather than the case.

    uhm, win?

    just unlucky :/

this was the best I could find and I'm not even sure if it's the version with the window, and, well, this website looks like one where it will take longer than May for you to get the refund for the product that never arrived

I appreciate the effort, but I suspect that site is run by a Nigerian general who has several million pounds he wants to invest in the west. :worried:

How about this? It's a 3rd party seller but seem to have good ratings.

Should I trust that? I know it's Amazon but does that mean I am protected? It doesn't say it's 1.4 with th AP fans. I am always worried about using unknowns.

Well I'm not entirely sure, but they only have 5% negative reviews out of 4000 transactions. Also they appear to have a proper website, that looks decent (looks aren't everything). And I imagine Amazon are careful about who they allow to sell on their site etc.

    Their website.

    Silverstone SST-FT02B (1.4) Fortress - black

    http://www.caseking.de/shop/catalog/Silverstone-SST-FT02B-14-Fortress-black::13721.html

    €229.90

A trusted seller, including 19% VAT (as they are in Germany) but excluding shipping.

Shipping to the UK in a 9-31.5kg range (which this case is) will cost you another €24.90: http://www.caseking.de/shop/catalog/Shipping-Costs:_:1.html.

This equals roughly £224 delivered, depending on which website exchange rate you use.

You pays your money and you takes your choice...

This place is also a UK distributor but I can't tell if they have any in stock: http://www.cjcomputers.co.uk/products.asp?recnumber=535. They are in London.

The weird thing about the Conrad one I linked is that the case is priced at £249.99 on their main website, but on Amazon it's £194.95.

At least there is a couple of potential options, or you could play it super safe and just wait for Scan to get some stock? I know you've already waited a long time though.

EDIT - What's your wife's issue with the R3 anyway? It's hardly the ugliest case in the world. I like it. In fact I've just bought one.

Fantastic. Thank you Fingers. Just to be sure, are you telling me they are a trusted company? I don't mean to be rude but I have no idea about ordering from a company outside the UK.

Caseking.de are the European distributor for a lot of stuff, Lian Li included. A lot of e-tailers actually get their stock from them as well.

So yes, they can be trusted. There are European based forum members here that can vouch for this as well.
