My Mates Band - Comments?

    My mates band just finished a 5 day recording session and have 3 of the new tracks on the website here..

    not my particular taste, but i can tell they're pretty good
    i preffer something a little.... faster

    Thats cool, they've only been together as a band for about 6months.. maybe less.

    The "crackling" record intro has been waaaay overused in present-day music, and the singing is a little...*shouty*, but I like it. Could easily just sit and listen.

    EDIT: Just turned on the second song, I like this one loads better. Very nice :thumb:

    Not into it at all, really. Dunno... might just be that they sound like a mishmash of NME bands, or it might be the fact that they've categorized themselves as jazz - which I just can't hear at all. Probably both, I think. There were no actual jazz elements in the music, so I suppose that put me off a little. Perhaps I'm being picky though.

    To be fair, they do sound like they've been together for six months.

    And, as Theo said, I don't see the 'jazz' at all.
