    hey guys. thanks for the response.
    have notified apple and given them the serial number.
    i have backups of everything so not all is lost.
    can only afford the MB at the moment :(
    i think will get the 2.0ghz model and will upgrade the ram and HDD in the future when more funds are available
    i can get it on educational discount so its roughly about 720quid
