You must have your left click finger hovering closely over the left click position, incase you didn't realise

You cant rest your left finger on the left click when you right click.

Slightly lift your left finger when you right click, or the mouse registers the left click first.

As above, its the other way around for me :eyebrow:, meh, I like my bluetooth MX1000/DiNovo setup way more than the pretentious mac set...

People will actually hold the left click down, when right clicking?

No, IIRC the mouse only registers a click - not left or right - but then senses where the mouse is being touched. If your left finger is touching the left "button" area the mouse it registers as a left-click even if it was the right finger that did the pushing. As stated before, try lifting your left finger while right-clicking.

apple peripherals pretty much suck, tbh. went through a time i loved them, then i realised, 'wait a sec, these things are beyond uncomfy and that stupid nipple needs cleaning every day.'

they place so much emphasis on design of their peripherals that they kinda throw functionality out of the window. sold the mouse and kbd and got a MS ergo 4000 kbd and a logitech mx1000. much nicer.

To me I might add :p, but yeh, I use a Logitech DiNovo KB + Mouse, the Mac ones are for my sis who just does a little browsing for which the mac kb+mighymouse are really good. No keyboard quite functions like the mac one...

I quite like their keyboards (other than how the right numberpad is slightly different than the rest of the world, which is idiotic), but their mice always drove me nuts. Still looking around for a decent bluetooth mouse that I can use with my MBP, since I usually can't afford the USB port for an RF receiver. Only ones I ever find seem to be those tiny portable ones, and they drive me nuts :(

Same. Although I've used one of the RF MX-series mice and tbh hated it. I've never quite liked any mouse as much as the MS Intellimouse 5-button - it always felt right in my hand. If I could get one of those in Bluetooth, I'd be really psyched.

i still have my old Cordless MouseMan optical (one of the first mice to combine wireless and optical) and it's still working as good as the first day I bought it and i must admit it has gone through some serious abuse

Holy crap are you hard on those things. I've got two that are both in great condition, and one underwent some serious modding surgery only to undo said surgery, and I use it to this day (replaced the red LED with an infrared for a stealth mod, then did an asstastic job painting it and sanded it all off).
As much as I hate Microsoft software (and I'm PSYCHED right now, Google just pulled something that should replace the last of what I use of theirs), their hardware is pretty solid. I love their mice, and their keyboards have treated me pretty well in the past too. It looks like their wireless laser mouse 8000 would be pretty good (looks like that's a charger base, something that I could plug into any of my plethora of other USB ports), but it looks like it costs $70+ if you're lucky from Amazon, and not to be found on Newegg. Dunno, maybe it's worth it... I did spend $1200 on monitors after all :worried:

id have to check at home, but if installed correctly, you should be able to choose the button setup in the mouse menu

i think it should be button 3 for right click, 2 is the ball i think, and 4-5 is the side buttons
