I just got this new Lian Li Server Case and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what I could do to heavily mod it.
Pretty much anything your mind can think of, and you wallet can handle... Water rig, definitely. Window a possibility (tho not the official lian li ones, they bore me) Cathodes.... UV could be an option As well could an LCD display in the front Pretty much you can do whatever your mind wants with it Nice choice of case, but imo unfortunately I don't like modding lian li's that much, as they are naturally quite nice anyway. If you want to heavily mod it, you could work on reversing it and having the cd bays at the bottom of the case... I wil probably come up with many more ideas, but it's too early in the morning at the moment for me
Do you anyone in the forums here that has modded one of these before so I can kinda get the feel of what I want to do with this case cause it was not cheap if you have priced one of these before.
I know of a couple of lian li mods, the most notable few I know is the one with loads of consoles in on tech tv, and that was insane, but nice Erm, I think i know of one for a full tower, not one of your cases, but still, will probably give you ideas Will go rooting it out now...
http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=18297&highlight=lian+li There ya go That's a vapo-lian li If money isn't an issue, that would be an interesting one to do You can search the forums for lian li and come up with plenty of examples You could get yourself an air conditioning unit and tear it apart and mod it in... Depends on what you are going for, looks or temps Oh, and how crazy you want it to be as well Like I said, you are only limited by your imagination really
water cool or vapochill conversion.... lots of possibilities as they're huge cases.... anything your imagination can think of... its pretty much possible
Modding is mainly aimed at making something that looks standard, non-standard, or better functioning than it originally was. Now, Unfortunately more and more people do things like window mods and cathode kits, and water kits, and so it is becoming standard. That's where your own imagination comes in and you (like most of us) have to think of something that makes you case original. That's the hardest part really I aim for function foremost, and form afterwards. If it does a better job than it originally did, great, and then after I know it does a better job, I attempt to make it look better. That's just my way of doing stuff Erm, have you thought of something like modding a large tft into a side panel? Seeing as the case is a big mutha, it would be logical to not need to shift a monitor as well as that... Just a thought
Damn that thing is HUUUGEE!! hehe Use a bunch of TECs, cold side could cool your pc or used to refrigerate some drinks. Hot side could be used to heat up frozen food. Could be a toaster/microwave oven on one side, fridge on the other
Thermal Electric Cooling. They get rather hot on one side, and freezing on the other when hooked up to power.
might want to check this thread http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=19766 for a good idea
I would like to know the opinion of what you all think of this motherboard is it does it suck or rock or between
As you can tell there are no USB or FIREWIRE ports on the front of this case so I am thinking of using this external Multi-Fuction Box that is made by Lian Li so I can still have these conections.
Its big, its allready got wheels add a window, a tow hitch, a bed and a gas stove, tow it to the Lake District and live in for 2 weeks each year. Of course the best mod for any PC case is to put in a motherboard, CPU, RAM etc. Fairy lights and windows come further down on my list.
