Alright lads, since none of you are good enough for TGS I'll provide you with my graphic design genius. I'll PM you my address for the SSD TGS.
Hold on... you have a competition with a prize... you post the rules... and then decide you are going to not follow the rules and instead withhold the prize from anyone? It doesn't sound terribly fair to me. I certainly don't remember Blue Peter ever doing this. (Always a good judgement on fair play). And I wonder if any of those who participated would care to read what the Gambling Commission says about running competitions and then withholding prizes? http://www.gamblingcommission.gov.u... of the gambling act 2005 - december 2009.pdf Or more likely the advertising standards authority: http://www.cap.org.uk/Advice-Traini...ne-Database/Sales-Promotions-Prize-Draws.aspx http://www.asa.org.uk/Consumers/~/media/Files/ASA/Misc/ASA_consumer_complaints_single_final.ashx Although you're US based so I don't know how that works...
Jesus, how about you calm down. This is TGS, it's like oh, he's given away a shed load of stuff for free without any requirements. He posted this and didn't get anything he liked so didn't go with it. If he starts using the work without giving the prize then yes sod off. But yes, calm down.
Surely he is not breaking the rules he has set, he stated originally that he would choose a winner, as no winner was chosen as none of the designs were what he wanted there is no winner to give the prize to. It wasn't a contest where he would choose one of the entrants randomly.
If TGS doesn't like any of them enough to use one on his website it seems eminently reasonable not to "pick a winner". The only thing is, I assume from this, that TGS still has no logo. So, TGS, if you still want one maybe some feedback would be a good idea ... i.e. in what way didn't they meet expectations? do you now have a clearer idea of what you have in mind, having seen examples of what you don't want? Because if I may say so it was a rather unspecific brief they had to work with.
I was hoping I'd see something that blows me away. I thought Rhydian's wallpaper one was awesome, but way too big. None of the logos are what I like thus far. I'm giving away a GTX 660 Ti for no reason at all. If I don't want any of these, then I won't give away the drive. My choice. Seriously, Guinevere? Gambling commission? I give away soooo much product on Bit-Tech for the hell of it. How many thousands of pounds have I just passed around??
So maybe something that encapsulates the speed, the power and/or the extreme nature of a modded powerhouse? Or just something unusual? Is that what you're aiming for? And does your reply mean this is still open to entry, if people want to try again (not by me I hasten to add!)?
Agreed! Remember though to take in consideration the back grounds people are adding behind their logos make them stand out allot better then if they were added with your background on your site.
I did start working on a banner, but the final few weeks of a masters degree in architecture got in the way. Now that is finished, if I submit something is there still a chance of winning the drive? I'll put something forward regardless, but just interested to know.
I have already changed it and tried to work the logo into the site, and mine simply does not work with the rest of the elements. If you would like TGS, I could do a free complete redesign of your site. No extra work for you and no cost, if you don't like it I'll burn it for you.
