I like that ^^^ but then it's not my website and I'm not judging this :D

Just a thought that might make this thing easier to visualise - feel free to ignore me though or tell me to butt out even though I'm only trying to help - how about those of you entering posting, along with your logos, a snapshot of one of TGS's web pages with your logo designs applied to it, using the size height TGS requested? It'll not only show how it would look but also whether styling, colour palette, etc. works for him. And sometimes something you think will work doesn't when you see it in situ, and vice versa.

I'm ducking out now as I'm not entering a logo. Good luck all :), if this contest is still running :worried:

Oh my business analysis skills are available for hire at the right price ;) :hehe:

Good suggestion Carrie, it lead to a couple of small changes to mine. Brightness had to go up 25%, as I had applied a lighting effect to the carbon effect background on my banner. It now matches the rest of the background. And the 'My Extreme PC' title had to be raised 9px to line-up with the rest of the titles.

I also extended the water cooling pipe on the right hand side to cover the entire width of the page, as I thought that looked a little neater than having it stop midway along.

Edit. Thought I'd quickly add that it's all set-up in layers in Photoshop. The MXPC writing is actually cut out from the carbon background, with the motherboard image simply placed underneath. This means that the underlying image to the MXPC text can easily be changed. I actually tried quite a few different things here, including a macro shot of a CPU socket (Intel one with pins), and I was pondering trying some circuit board traces.

This is what it looks like on the site:

I personally think that TGS shouldn't be shamed or badgered into making a choice if none of the original ones he thought worked.

Though if he genuinely thinks one works and will use it on his site, because TGS likes it then fairplay.

I'm neither shaming nor badgering him. I was the only person without a vested interest actually trying to actively help and I was merely enquiring about the status of this.

So climb off your high horse, remove your head from your jacksy and stop being so sanctimonious, please :p

I'm sorry if you feel my post was aimed at you directly, If I had quoted you, then yes you may have a point, I just feel since certain posts in general the thread has been aimed at aiming to get TGS to accept entries that he has already said he didn't like, rather than accepting the outcome.

I also hope that your last sentence was indeed sarcasm as well, as I don't want this thread to turn into a slanging match.

Like I said "if he genuinely thinks one works and will use it on his site, because TGS likes it then fairplay".
