my new system is up! and I need ideas

I have W2K on it and loaded wCPUid on it. Loaded Jedi Knight II just to see how the graphics would look (prreeettty). Loaded winamp with bit-tech skin (yes, I am a shill).

I downloaded Sandra and PCMark2002 today and will load it tonight.

Does anyone have any other utilities, toys they use or good games etc?

 

you didnt load the most important game of all - Half Life, so that you can play CS, DOD, and AHL. but then again im biased but HL mods do rule all

 

I am getting a copy of HL from a friend tomorrow and downloading CS as we speak!... the only problem is that I have a crappy dial up connection at the moment. That is my next hurdle... next couple of months I plan to get some sort of cable modem or dsl.

 

cs on modem??? how many years will that take??

 

I do all my big downloading at work. I was talking about playing CS on a modem connection... that may be a problem.

Ahhhh!!! PS2 try Grand Theft Auto 3, that's a great game.

 

ahh should take 2.5 hrs on a modem (well worth the wait though ) and is also still playable on a modem ping

it took me 4.5 hours to DL CS... I live 7 miles outta town and my connection speed has never gone above 28.8! AAAAAAHHHHH only 1/3 mile outta the range for ADSL!!!!! sooo sad. I play CS with a constant 700+ ping. Did you know that some servers ban you for pinging too high. I know they dont want me slowing them down but really.... I'm on cheating blacklist cuz that server sent them their ban list. I asked that guy and he said "BUY DSL YOU LAZY *****" he's not a nice person. well neeedlesss to say my CS days are over cuz of the black list site. I usually aver 3/1 ratio which is good considering my DELL connects at 28.8 and usues onboard graphics. 15 FPS anyone?? can you believe they dint even include an AGP slot? and 900mhz pent 3? nawww i only paid for one... got one clocked at 7999 instead. and i dont wanna overclock it cuz DELL mounts the PSU *DIRECTLY* over the CPU. only 3mm to spare. that CPU runs HOT!! well.... ill stop ranting now...

I download big stuffs like CS at my office, took about 45 minutes, burn it on CD and take it home. I am relieved to hear you can PLAY with modem ping times. I have Tony Hawk 3 on PS2 (basically the reason why I got the PS2) I may have to find the PC version too...
