Well I finally managed to upgrade my pc, to a Sandy Bridge E build after a long wait and constant issues of family members needing money from me :wallbash:

Anyway I finally managed to upgrade from:

    Asus P8Z77-V Pro
    Intel Core I7 2700K
    8Gb Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz CL9

    To

    Asus Rampage IV Extreme
    Intel Core I7 3930K
    16Gb Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz CL8

Currently housed in a NZXT Switch 810, but soon to be changed for a Corsair Obsidian 900D.

Pictures below are once the upgrade started

    Nearly everything stripped out.

    New Coolant

    Board And Rad's Installed

    Tubing Complete

    Fluid Filling Started

Once I have my new case I will eventually add in 2 GTX Titans watercooled to aid the tubing to look better and cleaner, as well as the motherboard being watercooled eventually as well.

Will start overclocking it tomorrow properly, but I have managed to stress the cpu for 30 minutes at 4.6ghz using 1.35v and the max core temps I have seen up to now is between 58c and 65c so still have some left.

Benchmark results from before the upgrade and after the upgrade will hopefully be added tomorrow once I have the overclock on the cpu sorted.

Lovely! :) You would actually get better cooling from just using the 240 rad, as the flow would be faster due to not fighting with gravity to much. :)

Also, I will post my bios settings tomorrow, as you should get 4.7GHz easily using an offset, without to much LLC or current to keep your VRM's cooler. :)

Also, don't forget to add the PCI-E 3.0 patch. :)

    Anyway, it's a great solid build! ;)

Can you link the patch as I cannot find your post where you linked to it before.

I have it currently at 4.8ghz which I will post the setting's for tomorrow, but I cannot seem to get it to boot at anything above that.

Well the board and cpu are back at Scan.

Started to benchmark this morning, and got no improvement in the scores and also there was graphic corruption when running SLI, and I have just finished testing both my cards on there own and in sli on another setup in the house and both work fine with no corruption.

Well I think I might have a bit of trouble with them, but will have to see when they phone me either later or tomorrow.

Sometimes when you have such a problem it would be better if the board was just DOA :/

Well dependent on what happens when I hear from scan either today or tomorrow depends on whether it stays like this or not.

I didn't see any real improvement in performance from this build compared to my 2700k build, but that maybe down to the board looking like it was faulty, but I can only wait and see.

I do like the look of this build, but due to the ssd issue and the lack of performance increase I honestly do not see the point in it.

But the board or the chip maybe faulty so will just have to wait and see.

Well apparently Scan have tested the board and chip and found that there is nothing wrong with it.

Apparently they have a ssd working on the Intel Sata 6Gb port that my ssd will not work on, after the initial part of the windows install so that just looks like it a compatibility issues between the board and ssd.

The graphical glitches that were happening for me apparently were not happening for them, so I am not sure as they tested it with my graphics cards as they apparently didn't have 2 cards they could use to test the sli, so I had to take my cards to them so they could test it.

Was going to go and pick it all up but on the way my brother phoned to say he has ran out of diesel so I had to go and deal with that so will, have to pick it up in the morning and then test it all again over the weekend to find out what if anything was causing it.

One thing I don't understand is the 3D Mark 11 Stretched result's and I only, found that making it stretched gives better results is because I was searching the net to see if 3D Mark 11, has a 120fps cap as I cannot get above 120fps on any of the tests.
