    Look who's talking, gheezer

I'm beginning to wonder what the whole purpose of the shapeoko was. I mean, is there anything left of it in that behemoth? :eeek:

Seriously though, this is one HELL of a work log.

You've got to keep the slightly rusty, rough metal finish. Males it look badass!

If all our years of good fellowship on these forums and our shared bond of geekdom mean anything at all, promise me this one thing. Because this must be done right and proper, for the correct universal order of things:

When you are ready to activate this thing, do it on a stormy night. Surround yourself with Tesla coils and Jacob's ladders and shout: "Igor, throw the switch!". And when it hums to life, cackle loudly and shout: "It's alive! It's ALIVE!!! Muhahahahahahah!!!"

Oh, and it must have a switch like this:

    Video on YouTube please. :D

    Some bit's arrived today

The lead screw nuts the brass colour parts will need some adjusting :thumb:

But first I thought I'd see how the lead screw machines down from 16mm to 10mm, they all will need to be to fit the 10mm bearings both ends and the motor couplings

Looks pretty good to me :D

    Started the next one here

The next picture shows the size of the lead screw the old CNC did have and the size the new one will have :hehe:

looking good bud!! come a long way since the start! Im actually going to be designing a brand new cnc . Im going to design the whole thing myself from the ground up and build it myself. Its going to be interesting to say the least, I learned to much on my first build its time to take my newly acquired skills and make a solid professional machine. Hopefully Ill be able to share the build log here. My cnc pc will be modded in a giant electrical panel maybe It can slide as a mod =D Keep up the good work here tho man! Awesome lathe work by the way! I cant wait to get my lathe, Its so much fun =D Getting a manual mill here in a couple weeks to assist in my cnc building. KEep rocking!
