Modding My parallel LCD project

    I've been using LCD Smartie for a while and while it has advance features it is very buggy. Yesyerday I downloaded the newest version 5.1 which caused more problems that if fixed.

    ack Farnell is like $20+ more and im on a limited money source (well at this stage i have 0 income) :p

    Anybody ever tryed to link up TWO paralel lcd's at the SAME time and at the SAME PC (and so of course the same port) ? Might be a bit tricky and need some software on your own and probably some PIC's, but might be worth it ...

    Well in theory both LCD's will work :rolleyes: and of couse display the same thing :D

    But i think it's possiblee (havent tried but it's an idea to try on :D

    You can hook up more than one parallel LCD to the same parallel port. I think it requires some hardware tricks. I saw a web page about doing this, but I can't find the link now. Try a google search. And no, they don't display the same thing. You can configure them to behave like one large screen. i.e. (2) 2x40 screens behave like (1) 4x40. I think.
