as some of you know im into the cruse scene & really into car hifi (dont have a car but waht can you do, i go to a couple on my scooter & always get a round of allplause when i jump it onto the front wheel & keep the bike moving, heck i can get the thing to tyre spin & its an automatic) anyway we watched that drivers from hell on ITV & they had a thing about street racing which i personally disagree with no end, that is just dangerous & because they cut in the odd scene of someone douing doughnuts in a car park they think that crusing is when you do jsut alunch your car & 100 & some mph down a residential street nope now what is so wrong with parking your modded car up in a town centre car park after the shop has shut with other people into modded motors & showing what you have done to make it special? nuffin, what is wrong with when it gets late so no-one will coem inot the car park unless there aprt of the cruse douing the odd dounut or burnout, if no-one can get hurt (how many kiddies do you know running round a car park @ midnight?) & you pay to keep your car mot passable & road legal, nothing if you wanna drive your car fast you can got to santa pod in doncaster to put your car on the drag strip, anything road legal or not you can run on the drag strip. sorry im jsut sick of people jumping to conclusions as i got the lecture, is that what you & yoru mates do when you go to cruses, you cant do that its dangerous etc etc well no we dont, some people do but most people who cruse treat people who will street race or set alight stolen motors with contempt i wonder if anyone else ont he boards has problems with street racers i personally do as street racing is very dangerous but i dont have a problem with crusing anyone else feel this way or am i jsut very ****** off
I've got a luvverly stereo in my car, although I personally think that most of the self proclaimed "boy racers" in our area are just a bunch of dumb farmers that add alloys and a bigger bumper to the front of their novas 1.1, add a hole to the exhaust to make it sound larger and never change from 1st & second give cruising a bad name cos theyr cars arn't worth showing to ****, My car is only a CorsaVan and I've done nothing to it but it still looks better than most of them, buuuut I mainly use my stereo when I'm on the open road, I always turn it down in the town cos I don't want to look like a ****. I think cruising should be about shouwing off lovely cars . IE Fast & Furious fodder in a designated area, not a bunch of dumb ass boy racers in **** novas terrorising a street, and guys, what's the point donuting and wheelspinning? Its pointless and it causes pointless wear and tear to the car... its not impressive and chicks "dont dig it" If you want to show off the torque and HP in your engine do an 11 second 1/4mile or get some proper racing skills learnt and do it the safe legal "chick diggin' way." - thats my view on it all... However it's not going to stop my buying a Fiat Coupe and souping it up, not to be a show off, but because I love cars and I've lived with this corsavan long enough, If I can afford a fiat coupe, and if I can affort to soup it up, and If I can affort to upgrade the stereo and re-wire the whole kit and kaboodle with monster cable, then so be it. PC Modding first though.
I'll be 1 of the first to stand up and say yes I've been out speeding, doing 100 MPH down the bypass, man that was gun (althogh I wasn't driving, not my car) First time we did it, we got away with it, or I should say my mate did, blooming good fun though, but dangerous as hell. Second time, we weren't so lucky, my mate got 3 points on his licence and a £60 fine, his excuse? Not being used to his car (Volkswagon Scirocco GTE 1.8 ) However I don't agree with street racig either, and well ifmy Dad ever lectured me about this sort of thing he'd be told where to shove his lecture very quickly, as I know for a facthe does not obey speed limits, like 50 ph through a built up area? 110 mph don't roseworthy dip, lol I swear he has a death wish. Pitty he got caught speeding in Holland last year, some points on his licence might make him think twice! It all boils down to trust between you and your parents, if they have to ask then they don't trust you, which sucks ( I don't know how old you are, butI;d say your 17 maybe 18??) As long as your not doing anything Illegal they can't really complain about much, my advise? Just ignore them, they were young once.
the stupid thing is my mother will sit & read max power, fast car, redline & say my theyve done a good work on the body kit on that pug 306, that look lile a custom made rear spoiler or wow that install has been proffesionally done, i like they way it shows off the amps & kept all the betteries hidden. i want to do a car up & show it off with flash body kit but i dont see the point of racing it on streets that is basically dangerous, if you wanna race, like i said for jsut over £20 quid you can do it @ santa pod on one of the days they let you, you can run your car up & down that track until you run out of petrol of you want, dont matter, its legal & its safer as they have at least 1 ambulance @ hand & alwasy ahve people trained what to do if something does happen
19 on the 8th septhember & my dad is a professions HGV driver but he has done so terrible things when he was learning or jsut passed, oh his lesson plowed inot a shop front display after he passed drove from the test centre, goes round the cornor, puts his foot down & into a copper car (probably more but that all hes telling me) heck when my mother was in the hospital giving birth he was ont he motorway in a hgv when a message came though wanting to know where the bloke with the prgnant misses is, he answered & they announced that she was in labour & they told him or areas without coppers so he could floor it, when he left the company he held the record for the fastest recorded speed inone of the HGV's, think he still has it
ok well i'm gonna speak out against you. I live on a nice main road residential street and i see ppl doing over the normal 30 at all times. at night it gets worse. but nothing too big (i'm over exagertaing prolly). Anyway it ****es me off cause its not big, its not clever its lame. racing around in your little toy cars is not funny, I live right by a park (well its over the road so yes right by a park) and i use that road to cross when i wanna goto the park, and having to wait cause idiots are doing 50 on the road is not fun. so i ussaly step out in front of them, never been hit once. there should be tougher rules on roads like these, fair enough on the motorway they should have german style rules but in towns and residential areas you should stick to the limit whatever time it is
Woah there, son. Wanna tell us WTF that is about? BTW, street racing = teh bad Cruising = teh win. As long as you don't moan when they lock you out of car parks.
the worrying thing is when you get locked into car parks by the coppers happened to one of my friends who was at a cruse but the owner of the shop phoned the copeprs & everyone @ the cruse got cautioned for tresspass so they lecked the exit so people could not get out until they had been cautioned, but then agian the copper did say nice car after he got his caution the way i see it, if you aprk up with some other people, show off your car, belt you install your not hurting anyone & your causing less annoyance than the ones that drive round town centre with the very badly installed hifis (basically just boom when you get bass so it sounds loud but utterly rubbish) all day they really get on my nerves, they dont do the job properly if your going to installa sub in your car, do it right & dont jsut whack it up to full, @ least get it to sound good
check this out the germans have a song about crusing its called crusin by massive tone (i think) it has sjtu been plaed on mtv2 pop, viva, viva plus (think that the name) & mtv germany almost back to back we need a crusing song in the uk
Sorry, all the tits around here are farmers sons... and theyre all stains My pa's trick when they come down our way is to throw the warehouse keys at the windscreen as they race through the 30 zone at 100mph, there's a **** load of keys on there, most redundant and they weight 1kg + It never smashes the windscreens just cracks it and then runs over the roof. If theyre going really fast the bonnet cops it first! It always works, they always slow down, most of them don't know what hit them. One came out before and he had a baseball bat down the side of his seat, he was soon driving off when he saw the Doberman coming out of the warehouse to have a nosy at all the noise
The people in my city over in the USA here that think they are street racers **** me off to no end. I see people all the time now that 'Fast and the Furious' has come out, in their preppy clothes and the ricer that mommy and daddy bought them, but they are too chicken**** or too afraid to drive them... I watched my brother roast some dip in a tricked out integra in his little 82 mustang hatchback... Never did see that guy at the track after that Seriously thou people, If your gonna have the cars, yes, show them off by all means. I love seeing it. But if your gonna have all that engine work done, haul it out to the track and learn to drive.
