Justa liitle pic of my effort after I found I had an airleak with the (second-hand) L20 pump. The kit is Waterchill, the fittings on the rad the subject of a four-page thread some months ago!

Oh and those are all SMC KQ2 fittings, bulkheads on the res, 1/4BSP Female on the rad.

How can you have an air leak on the pump if it is under water

That's why its underwater. When running inline, it leaked air into the flow.

    And here's the full story:

I will be getting a lot busier *if* I get anywhere with my current plans. And it is a nightmare, took me ages to get the headers attached to the mobo becasue that res is in the way.

wow, nothing like having a 3pin plug right next to the res, imagine if a pipe leaks or the res cracks, lmao!

you really need to clean up there.

    btw, what are your temps?

TBH, I'd be more worried about the res leaking and frying some componants rather than hitting the 3 pin plug and resetting the breaker...

Not that I'm saying your res would leak, good effort. I went for the home made job rather than the £££ bit of plexi too (and mine has alot more potential for leakage)...

lol, looking at the mess again, I guess theres no real reason to clean up the wires, theres no airflow with a water cooling system.

you should buy one of those floppy drive bay res's, their really cool, and all you have to do is slide then out and take out a plug to refill it.

you putting in any UV dye and UV lights?

Ok , I will be tidying the cables insofar as is possible, but there is a lot of wiring in that case and that's before I start thowing in any electronics (tba ;) ). There is a bit room of airflow round and over the res, but it is tight and will have to be managed a bit better.

I need to get in some more spiral wrap. I have done most of the fan leads and bunched up some header wires, but I can't find any 5mm wrap to do the power cables atm (Well not at a sensible price - when you can get 10 metres of 3mm for 1.49 at Maplin, the prices in PC modding shops are a bit harsh).

A lot of the messis due to me switching components without removing the res. I can probably get things a bit better organised but its a small case with a lot of kit.

Oh and the three-pin is just to let me disconnect the relay from the pump, and the relay was on the floor of the case anyway. I will try and suspend them at some poin if I can or seal it in a project box. However the res is not going to spring a a leak as all the connections are though the lid.

EDIT: Nope, don't really want to go with lights and dyes. I may light the inside of the case but that would be more a mains light so I can see whats in there without a torch! Not really into making the case look like a dongy nightclub :p
