Hey dudes , I installed bf2142 and Run it after play like 10 mites I saw the VGA temp in ati override and it was 93 !!!! WTF it will burn !!! I imedeitly close it and come here to post !! because the fan run on normal 13 % !! I tired to use ati tools like xp !! but its not work ? thanks I really want play on vista but I don't want burn my VGA , any Help or any other program that control than fan and push it to 100 % ??
I strongly disagree with this. I've heard of chips going over the 100C mark. They're designed for incredibly high temps these days. I wouldn't say running at 93C is desirable, but I doubt the chip will be dead just because of a few minutes at that temp. Compuking, if you're using nvidia then go into the nvidia control panel. In the Clock settings tab, if you select manual overclocking you can tell the driver to keep your fan at 100% all the time. Just leave the clocks alone, and that may well solve your problem.

Hey I have ATI X1950XTX ! and teh fan running on 13 % all the time ?!!!! I want push it to 100 % like I do in XP to keep teh xtx cool !! I affred that I burn my card . but thisfcking vista make me crazy !!! I'm not sure if ATI Tool completely works in Vista yet, it didn't in my friends install. You will probably just have to find another VGA fan control program that does. I don't know if they have made ATI Tray Tools for Vista yet, but that has fan control options.
Change your fan/HS with a replacement fan/Heat-Sink... like a Zalman one... it will make your video card fan cooler, quieter, and run at the same speed at the time.
dude you mean teh 1950xtx stock sexy fan CRAP ????????? in xp it do full load like 40 at 100 %% ??? all teh problme teh conrtol , it work slow on vista dont know why ??
Doesn't mean it's big and bulky, red, that it's good ATI did not made the software under Vista to make the fan control work. Frankly I'm impressively disappointed with the system, I would make that if you have no software running the fan turn at 100%, and if you want it quiet, you need to install the software. Yet for you it's the contrary. So LIVE with it, and wait and hope ATI will make the software for Vista. Else buy a new fan with cooler.
install XP much better for gaming at the moment and has better drivers. If temp problem persists check cooler seating or get a new cooler. OR if the fan still runs at a low speed all the time cut it from the graphics cards board and solder on a molex connection so that it gets 12v all the time.
Crap , This cooler don't have any problem believe me , the fcking crap thing that vista can't control the fan on the 100% and load it gives maxuimam 45 ! SO why get new one ?? Dude I start hate this vista really Why Microsoft do this !!! This thing is crazy , I will use xp for gaming and this vista for look Because I was want use vista all the time , but this not gonna work with me now !
It's not Microsoft's fault. If ATI choose not to release a driver under Vista straight away then take up your issue with them. And please stop using smilies in your posts.
Hiren is totally right... I actually never understood this logic... example: - Internet slow, therefore the computer suck, need to buy one... when it's actually the ISP fault. It's 100% ATI fault, and it's 100% your fault, for updating to Vista without YOU looking completely at the computer compatibility under the new OS. I'm not updating now, as I know I'll have no sound and won't be able to play games at a normal rate, due to a lack of drivers for vista by creative, and not optimized video card divers by Nvidia.
