Id go for the Eheim 1048 pump m8 as your only cooling the cpu the 1250 seems a bit overboard,it would be ok if you where cooling cpu+gpu(graffix card)and northbridge chip also the 1250 make more noise than the 1048,but its up to you im still a bit of a newbie myself,im cooling a cpu+gpu with the 1048.

    hope this helps :)

    all looks good....

as for the pump...if u plan to upgrade get the 1250.....u gona have a res or anything...btw they sell that tubing by the foot? cause for most full tower cases u dont need but 10-12 foot and even then thats with alot of slack

ive been told to get the 1250 because im using 1/2" tubing, and i may add a GPU block in the future...

everything is going in my 'watercooling box', so all outside the case. thats why im getting large amount of tubing.

if i dont upgrade and get a GPU block, do u recommend getting the 1048? as it will save me a little, as im over my budget...

    thanks...

Just going by what ive been told by loads of people..:dude:

    This is from coolhardware.co.uk
    ==============================================
    Nerd2's recommendation:

For the average user, cooling CPU and perhaps graphics, I would reccomend the 1048, as a good balance between noise and flow.
For the hardcore user, cooling CPU, graphics, perhaps northbridge and others, I would recomend the 1250, which should give you more flow, and better performance.
    Oh, and a 1/2" system.:eyebrow:

I'vve read a few new articles and threads on the pump Issues

    1) for moderate flow rates (CPU only)- the 1048 is BEST! - less heat
    http://forums.procooling.com/vbb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3756

    2) For multi-line or multi block - 1250 is best

    3) With increased back pressure the "The Rotor mod" should be done, check out (if ya hav the noise that is) http://www.theoverclockingstore.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=18846

U can get the 1048 for £34 (free delivery over thirty quid, i think) from http://www.aquatics-online.co.uk/ac...ue_Power_Heads___Universal_Water_Pumps_4.html

    4) The pump is best located at the bottom like this p'raps

everything is going outside the case, so the water will have to be pumped around alot futher distance.

    im using 1/2" tubing.

    which pump would you recommend?

Soz I forgot about that! Doh

You should still try and keep the bits close together mind, the res at the highest point so any bubbles migrate upwards and are trapped there (not in your rad, block)

Like Big Dog said 1048 for just CPU Note - you will only need
two BMH3812 if you go for the 1048.

If you plan to expand in the future then the 1250 would be a good investment + no space constrainsts

    ummm, so you say 1048?

this could be a problem, everything is going in a case outside my pc, but the rad is going to sit on top of the case.

so have you got any ideas?

i think im still going to go for the 1250 pump.

1/2" tubing and everything going outside the case.

space isnt really a big problem TBH.
