I have co-owned and run carbon-360.com for some time now. When we moved to a new host the registrar got them hump and has been extremely unhelpful, and even has his own details on the whois, etc. I noticed yesterday that carbon-360.org, which used to be under my control, is now an HTML clone of our .com site! (it looks like it was cloned back on 2007-07-06, see the bottom of http://carbon-360.org/alert360/index.html) I've discovered that the .org is hosted by the same host we're using, but am waiting to find out if they can tell me anything about what's going on. What do I do?!
Bit-tech had a similar problem a while back. Are you sure someone you work with hasn't bough the .org? I know it's not going to be massively helpful now, but remember, always buy URLs in your name. I made the mistake once for my mums site and she almost paid £500 to get it back
The 'blog' and 'News' links redirect to your com site, so you can block redirects from 360.org for starters or show a page pointing out the directing site is a fake.
just me and one other guy working for the company atm, there was one other, but he left a long time ago. we have just gone through some peculiar dns issues with the main sites so that should account for relix' issues. cpemma's suggestion seems like a good one, will discuss with my colleague. cheers all, j
