    <apologises for utter ignorance>

If I wanted to get a watercooling system, what bits do I need...
There doens't seem to be an idiots guide about saying
"Tubing - at least X foot"
    "Pump"
    "Radiator"
    etc.
    etc.

so what things do i need?

    Fanx :)

The answer as to why there is not a simple idiots guide is because all watercooling solutions are that bit different depending on your case and the bits you are using. For example my new system has two seperate watercooling systems and a peltier.

The procooling article I keep plugging is a good start but you will need to just read read and read.

As to what you will basically need are :

Pump, waterblock, radiator and fan, airtrap/reserviour (advisable), about 5 to 6 foot of silicon tubing (to allow for errors), de-ionised water, wetter water, hose clips (not jubilee), artic silver.

The diameter of the tubing will depend upon block etc, but the common thought is that if you can go for 1/2" then do. There is no clear evidence that it improves cooling, but it does not harm it. It does however improve water flow, that must be a good thing, we think. :eyebrow: :eyebrow:

I will be embarking on a noobs start to finish water-cooling project. I'm not going to say to much as it will spoil the fun.

As TiTch said there are so many ways of doing it would be hard to document. I will take this up offline with Titch and see what we can do.

We will keep you peeps posted :D

I know I have not spoken to Spawny yet (sorry) but I do think this is a very good idea.

Any questions you peeps think should be included.

Also we have some very knowlegeable members, whos comments and input would be greatly valued.
