    hello,

i am really a newbie to watercooling systems...

i live in the UK, first of all can somegive tell me a UK site that sells cheap water cooling accesories, and exsactly what parts to get ?

and secondly, i know the basic setup, but how would i go around mounting the res and rad, by screws ?

alot of help and pictures would be of great appreciation.

also, would a midi scorpio be big enough for water cooling ?

    thanks alot,

Check out www.overclockedpc.co.uk for watercooling gear - good quality stuff and british. Prices are on the money as well for the quality of the product. If that's a bit ott try www.tekheads.co.uk

best setup I can think of- (reliable)

    Eheim 1048/1046 pump
1/2" fittings for Ehiem pump (dep. on type) (OCPC) and pipe clips.
    OCPC 'the deep' rad 1/2"
OCPC neptune w/b (or DD Maze 2) 1/2"
Silicon hose (1/2") (will not degrade like PVC)
tupperware res/airtrap (or OCPC the tube if budget allows) Put at highest point in system!
Additives for coolant - waterwetter or even antifreeze - look at www.procooling.com for example of coolant 'recipe'.

That's all I can think of at the moment!

I posted a thread in your previous koolance post for a midi scorpio w/ced server - that might give you a few ideas about how to mount the gear in your case to maximise space - www.coolhardware.co.uk/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=5 this is well designed and easy to mod IMO.

As far as mounting the rad by screws I have in my new project - I just tapped the rad (BIX) fan mounting holes with an M4 tap so I can use M4 mounting screws. I then mounted the rad in a standard 120mm fan hole with the screws going through an external fan, though grommets in the case (to reduce noise) and into the rad's mounting holes- only took a few minutes to do and looks really professional - you could give that a try- I'll definitely say its VERY secure as well :)

I'm still working on a way to mount my acrylic res (65mm diam) but it'll probly be a case of knocking up a neat metal bracket with rubber padding to hold the res securely - still thinking of a nice secure fixing solution but I think it'll be a case of screwing the bracket to the case then using neat black zip-ties to hold the res against the padding (blowhole beading). If your interested, I'll post when I've sorted it out properly?
