    looks like a photo resistor. As it gets lighter/ darker the resistance increases/decreases. It can go either way. a multimetor will tell you if its a photo resistor or not. just hook up your leads and the make it sorta dark in the room. a flashlight will shoot it off the scale and tell you if its a resistor or not.

    That looks like a surface mount light sensor
    I could be a Photoresistor (As stated above) or a Phototransistor

    What did it come out of?

    lol, thanks, but so does mspaint ;)

    ill try that flashlight thing tomorrow at work, im do poor to afford a multimeter
