    That's meant to be a diagram as you look at the socket. Ignore the voltages... I'm pretty sure its a 5 pin mini-din, but I looked in the old Maplin catalogue for a plug to go into this and it has three types - A,B and C, so which one do I need?

    looks like an AT keybaord connector, no idea about mini din or whatever

    Type A is 180° pinnage (all pins in a semi-circle), so it's not that, C is 360° so no-no, must be 240° type B ;)
