Displays NEC 26" IPS Monitor for £100 too good to be true? Evidently not!

I didn't buy direct from them so not sure.

It was 'open box' from a wholesaler, so was missing a couple of mounting screws, thus the spacers and long screws on the VESA mounting until can order some short ones. Apart from that it was mint.

Ah, ok. :) I take it I can't really be linked to the wholesaler then. I'll just have to have a look around.

For the noise. It's usually the inverter coils. Silocon that ***** up!

I'm interested to hear back from anyone who spoke to NEC about the noise. Any results?

I tried to open mine up but didn't get very far! its built like a tank. Screws and clips all round. Felt like I would crack the bezel before I got it open.

    Defeated I gave up :(

Would love to open it up and see if I could mod the inverter (reduce input voltage, silicon, change frequency / duty cycle) but never mind.

Hey, thinking of selling mine if anyone is interested. Although not sure about trusting a courier with it!

Cei, Who did you use to ship yours to Krikkit?

I'd say pop it on the FS forum, but I don't know what you'd do about price...on the one hand, you got it for peanuts, on the other hand, it's worth a mint.

Find a comfortable midpoint between the two, I guess ^^

I'll be very interested, anyway. These things sound pretty much perfect for me.

I'm interested also providing it's not noisy. The standard packaging seemed pretty robust.

I used CityLink. No carrier will cover monitors on their insurance, but as long as they are in the original boxes with the inserts the MDview 262s are fine.

Won the last one on eBay!

Mine doesn't seem to have the noise issue everyone's talking about?

Some revisions didn't have noise. Semi-necro, but. I might be getting one myself for about $300.

Or should I get the 2490?
