Displays NEC 26" IPS Monitor for £100 too good to be true? Evidently not!

If anyone is missing the cable cover panel from the back of the stand let me know. I have 2 supplied.

Don't trust myself with one just yet! My means are a bit meagre to rely on credit.

Had a box waiting for me when I got home... a frikkin huge box! That's a 120mm fan next to it! :jawdrop:

    Excuse the awful iPhone pics.

Next thing on my shopping list is a bigger desk :D

I'm so glad that this worked out for so many people (especially those who paid only £100 :naughty: )

Atomic - going from a 20" Dell to the 26" NEC, exactly as I did ;)

PS any stuck or dead pixels for anybody? I had one stuck pixel somewhere in the center of the screen but now I can't find the little b***** so I assume it's become un-stuck after a couple of extended gaming sessions.

Total bargain for £150 :D The size difference is much more than I was expecting, helps no end for my photography work. The calibration was very good, barely had to do anything to correct it with the spyder.

No dead pixels on mine, was the first thing I checked. You might have just had a lazy pixel after being cold during delivery..

Yeah thought so. What deltaE are you getting? I don't have a colourimeter at the moment... desperately want to see how this compares to my previous screens. At the moment I'm running it on the Native preset and it looks great, but I really want to calibrate it!

No dead pixels for me either. My eyesight is failing so the size and resolution are pretty much perfect for me.

I'm not sure on calibration as my missus borrowed the spyder from her work and did the calibration. She said was it needed very little changes and was very good out of the box.

I'm going to buy a desk mount for it as the included stand is a little large for my desk.

Picked mine up today from their warehouse. Thanks LennyRhys for the heads up!

Had a look inside the warehouse and for those still interested I reckon they have a fair few left although whether these have already been allocated and are just waiting to be shipped I'm not sure.

Now to get it home and sneak it past my other half... :worried:

Hm, might need to call Kenny again actually, not sure if the postage issue was addressed when I ordered, and hence maybe they're expecting me to pick it up? How long did everybody wait from ordering until getting their screen?

EDIT: D'oh, needed to tell them :) All sorted, arrives Thursday!

After seeing the size and weight (14kg!) of the box these come, £12.50 delivery is quite reasonable for next day delivery.

    Any of these left?

Edit: Got one reserved, so I'll confirm tomorrow :D

Where is the warehouse for pickup?

Mine arrived today, so next day delivery!

Its enormous! I don't mean the 26", its Fat and Chunky and looks like it will still be going after an apocalypse!

Colour is amazing and I love the auto-brightness to detect ambient light levels!

Mine does seem to struggle to stay at full height as its so heavy. Might see if there is something to tighten. it stays most of the way up though. Also no dead or stuck pixels and no marks except for what looks like a sticker residue next to the MDView 262 sticker.

Also just check my warranty and it was registered in October 2007! so its 4 year warranty ended in 2011.

Older than I thought although it looks brand new!

I'm so tempted to take a razor to the MDview sticker and see what's underneath. Box says LCD2690WUXi2 (let me know if this isn't the case), but if they date back to 2007 then they most certainly are not!

How do you check the warranty to find out the registered date?

Checked at http://warrantycheck.necdisplay.com/ used LCD2690WUXi as model number. Its not LCD2690WUXi2 as the model on the back says LCD2690WUXi and so does the OSD menu.

There is an advanced osd menu if you turn it off and then press both the power and the input select button. when it boots press the menu button
