    Hi,
I have an Pentium 4 2.24ghz socket 478 Chip its using the stock Intel Cpu Cooler that came with it BUT! its not doing as good as a job must be getting old (been in 2years) So anyone any idea's would like one that does NOT mean me taking the motherboard out but would use the Brackets in there allready...

    Thanks :)

    No problem.

The aero4 is better than the stock cooler I had, but it isnt a "high performance" one.

Couple the swiftech up with something like a 92mm papst or vantec stealth, as you have to purchase a fan seperately anyway :thumb:

The Coolermaster aero4 like the fan controller on it :) quite noise at full speed but when not using pc for much I turn it down..

With the Old Intel Heat-sink was getting 53c when games where running

With the Coolermaster aero4 I am getting 43c when games running..

Big diffrence plus its clocked :) is a 2ghz P4 but clocked to 2.24ghz

dont discount thermalright, they make some of the best Heatsinks IMHO check out the XP120 (if compatabile) or the SP series for P4 both are excellant and both use heatpipes.

I would have suggested the sp-94, which i'm using currently, but he wanted one that would go into the existing hsf cradle on the board.
