Hi, I got a new job where I drive a lot and need a GPS unit. I looked at a few in a store today and wasn't really impressed. some had bad resistive screens or it was obvious that it needed a better cpu. for example when i press a button (like a letter) I don't want to have to wait for it to show up on screen. So I want a gps with a good screen, capacitive or a good resistive. And good internal hardware. Also around 5 inches. On the other hand, I have a touch pro 2 that runs google maps really well but I would like something better than that. So if you have any suggestions for windows mobile. please feel free to make them. Thanks for any advice!
For WinMo TomTom or Garmin, I tend to use Garmin more than TomTom but the new lane assist in TomTom looks handy.
try out the satmap active 10, we sell them in blacks so i've had a play about with them. Best GPS unit i've ever tried, works as a tomtom and your usual gps unit for walking about. Comes pre-loaded with the 1:1000000 scale road maps for all of the UK a 1:250000 vector map for majors cities and you can purchase additional 1:25k or 1:50k OS survey maps if you fancy a walk in the hills.
the only problem with live traffic is your city has to support this function. i know where i live this is not the case so getting a gps with this is a waste.
