tissot pr50 rrp £90 repairing it costs less than getting a watchmaker to buy a cheap movement that will fit and fitting it. although it will only need a service every 15 years or so. works out cheaper in the long run
this PIMP watch looks really cool. but i bet you suffer from the same problem as Binary watchs, it'd take alot of getting used to to read the time quickly. i may just have to buy one to look cool!
That’s quite a bit more then what I paid for mine. On that site my watch is listed as £125.00 ($292cad, $232us). When I bought mine it was priced at £106.00 ($250cad, $201.00us), but I got them to give me a "discount" down to just £85.00 ($200cad, $160us). So I don't think it was that bad of a deal for what it is. In the 6 or so months I've owned the watch it has been through hell and back. I've already broken off the bezel-trim (got it caught on a shelf, which ripped the shelf off) then re-attached (and reformed) it, dropped the thing into 2+ feet of water, ground into mud by people stepping on it, was run over by a car, and had my wrist (with this watch on) slammed between a 30lbs metal security door and the doors frame. As this picture shows, there has yet to be a single scratch on the glass. I'm somewhat happy with this watch actually. (click for big)
OMG this watch is teh 1334 !! I received my watch today ( damn fast shipping) and after removing 4 links the watch fits perfectly. Its not heavy at all, but has a very solid look and a very classy look. The watch is exactly what I was looking for. You can set 4 alarms, change the analog time using the buttons, and has a nice EL backlight and glow in the dark inserts on the analog hands. BUT NONE OF THIS can even compare to the sweetest feature in the watch. It has a freaking AUTO LIGHT feature !! basically what you do is hold down the light button for 3 seconds and it turns on the feature. Whenever the watch is in the 0 to 40 degree plane towards you it turns on. To better illustrate this, it will not turn on in any other orientaion, upside down sideways or any other way, it only turns on when you "look at the watch" Im sure other casio watches have this feature but I am a happy camper
nah the auto light works perfect, and the feature turns off after 6 hours and only turns on when you look at the watch as for the pin removal, i looked online how to do it. Basicall you need to push the pin out in the direction of the arrow. Your suppose to use a tool to push the pins but I used a paperclip, a lot of pressure and a sore thumb.
Heh, I destroyed about 10 paperclips and almost my thumb trying to do this to my new watch the other week. In the end I found a pair of small scissors which did the job... kinda messed up the sicssors tho, so at least I know the strap is tough
I dunno about you guys, but my life is so full of tech, whenever I buy a watch the first criterior is "analog, with date" makes me feel like I have some thing real on my wrist not just another temporary digital device.
