    Hello everyone!

I'm starting a slow and painfull process of upgrading my computer audio setup, and I thought to ask some advice since I'm really not sure what route to take. I'll start with some thoughts & stuff I already have:

    - Total budget around 400-500 EUR
    - Need to work well with games.
    - 2.1 setup, since I dont really wanna venture into world multi-speaker cheesecake.
    - I already have Yamaha YST-SW015 as a leftover from my htpc setup and which I was planning to make use of.
    - I'm not really fond of big A/V receivers, and tbh they're bit pricey for this price range.

So, If I have understood correctly this leaves me with option to get a proper sound card, stereo amplifier and some passive monitors, or active speakers. This is where I'd like to get suggestions and advice which route to take. Please notice I live in Finland so it may be somewhat limited which audio components will be (at least for decent shipping price) available.

Thanks in advance for anyone willing to take time in a little bit of education.

    Edit//

One option I've my eyes on is Tangent AMP-30 Ampster micro amplifier which would set me back around 160 EUR.
