its been a while since i have had a game that has had me totally engrossed.

    games like
    FF7 / 8 / X
    Baldurs Gate
    RA2
    WoW
    Deus Ex
    Diablo 1 + 2
    MAx Payne 1+2
    Portal
    HL2 + eps
had me totally hooked but i just cant find a game that does now

i have recently comlpeted The witcher (which almost had it) and RA3 which since it wont work over the net wont do it

i'm currently playing through mass effect and it just doesn't do it for me

i keep trying to play supcom but that doesnt grip me either neither does WiC

my next port of call is to see if i can get FF12 working on the PC after that im out of ideas

anyone have any addicting game suggestions (non mmorpg please Wow ate up way too much time)

    Jake

System Shock and Thief or to recommend something else for once (as I recommend those two all the time) Dungeon Keeper.

Thief is another great suggestion, as is System Shock 2 - but getting them working on modern PCs can be a headache.

I'm enjoying Hitman 2 right at the moment.

If you're a bit of a trekkie, Star Trek:Legacy with the Ultimate Universe Mod is epic fun. :D

Three of my housemates are currently playing Fallout 3, two of them often enough to be classified as 'bat-****-insane addicts". It's a really immersive game, by all accounts, and it's huge. I haven't played it myself, mind.

is it addictive or addicting? addicting just seems slightly wrong to me somehow.....

I couldn't get into Fallout 3 at first. Then, like an overdose of mentats, I can't stop having a dose now and again. I thought I'd got a bit into it, but I've only really scratched the surface. It looks to be immense.

:hehe: I still play Tetris 20 years after it came out

Have you tried TF2? That's pretty addicting for me and gets (fairly) regular free updates

Morrowind and Fallout 3 are fantastic games. Fallout 1 as well (not really played 2 yet). I've banned myself from Morrowind because I spend way too much time playing it.
