Hey, I'm looking for an external HD that is as follows:

    Easy to setup and use
    Available in Canada
Is a maximum of $80ca (That would include P&P)

The biggest possible HD available which fits those requirements. I originally suggested an F3 with an external caddy but apparently thats too complicated and potentially too expensive - Technophobe student type :wallbash:.

Why not just google this stuff myself? Or even go to Amazon.ca? :duh: - Well, not living in Canada (I'm inquiring for someone else) I'm not familiar with the reliable tech retailers and I've never heard of some of the brands available on Amazon.ca (And only enclosures seem to be available for the price mark) so I'm aiming this at any of you Canadians or people familiar with the above for Canada.

Thanks in advance as always :D

Newegg(.ca) has a seagate 500GB for CAD$69.99 but after tax and shipping its 94 and thats the cheapest one i could find.

    Bestbuy has

but its (probably) too expensive after tax and its online only so it will have to ship. I've never heard of Z-data myself.

    Future Shop has

if its bought in the store it'll be close to $80. (74 ish).

Other than The Source by Circuit City (which i dont think sells HDD's) thats all I know of Canadian computer retailers.

If you are willing to spend $100 then you have alot more options. Why cant you get it from the US where its a bit cheaper?

Hey, sorry for not getting back to you guys on this. I've only just now got word from the "third party" I'm asking for.

She's willing to spend £80/$160 including p&p, so what kind of options does that open up?

+Rep all around too, thanks guys!
