I hated it. Besides the thing crashing a few times it also didn't detect when i 'killed' Gmac and that girl nce and the other time it just howed me Gmac in cinema mode getting away. Well duh, he is going to get away if i can't drive. The computer also drove over the spikes in cinema mode, making me lose my beautiful 911 GT2 And i had quite a lot of effects turned down (nearly all of them for the world, kept most of them for cars) and it lagged HORRIBLY on a 7900 GTO and E6750. THe fact that i removed multiprocessor support in the nlit install sometime ago probably doesn't help since i basicly have a single core now...
You all sound like a bunch if uppity technocrats, the game is decent and worth playing. I think its probably one of the best in the series and have had huge amounts of fun playing it. Maybe if you guys hopped off your high-horses for a few moments and sunk back to reality you would stop subjecting good games to the mindset of a what you think a "great" game is.
I love NFS:MW to bits and will continue to play that as it's a bloody good game. Unlike this pile of poo.
exactly same here. this inspired me to reinstall Most Wanted, and when im playing Most Wanted, my housemate came in, said, "how did you make Undercover look good?" Most Wanted is a lot better in every single way (except car selections) the controls is better (show me a car that gains 90% traction as soon as you release the accelerator), the graphics is same, more police so more fun, frequent roadblocks. IMHO this game should have been 5/10 at most.
"...shot more stylishly than a team of murdered supermodels" You don't hear that phrase in a review very often.
On what system where you guys reviewing it? xbox360 or ps3? Because from IGN's review it runs like crap on the ps3, form my experience it runs like crap on the pc.... however ign did say it runs somewhat ok on the 360, so if you reviewed it on the 360, everyone who plays it on a non 360 has to deduct 2 from your score. Tier 2 cars regularly win against tier 1 cars, the environment looks bland, boring and allways the same, physics? damage model? never heard of and driving is so easy I would call it nfs train simulator as the cars drive like on rails and no matter how bad you drive you never loose control over it. Also while the cars dont look bad, they could also look better, just have a look at GT5 Prologue to see what I mean. Also during races you get solid walls to the left and right of the course, so there is zero choice where to drive apart from a smallish number of predefined "shortcuts". On top of all that, the career is very short, you'll be through with it in no time.
Stalker Clear Sky got 3! And before anyone kicks off, it was for good reasons (broken product). Personally I think BT are pretty good with their scores, they very rarely heap huge amounts of praise on a game when it isn't needed. Look at something like GTA4, where everyone was giving it 100/100 Best Game Ever uber scores, BT settled for a far more realistic mid 9/10. They're far more happy to dish out the 6s and 7s than many online publications are.
What?! are you serious? I can kind of see why people would buy stuff in online games for real money, but in a single player game? I don't get it
this game was very poor ,underground and underground2 where very good then they went all stupid and look at what happens your left with something that runs like all f**k all imo ,if nfs shift turn out like this its the last nfs i will buy ever
