At the end of the day, you'll feel more proud of yourself if you put together your custom setup, but obviously that's a bit more work.
I've heard nice things about the Corsair kit...

specific video card? Water blocks are made different for each GPU, a 7800 will not work on a x800 or x1600 err w/e the hell the ati line is.
edit sorry didnt see your sig.

    I'd say:
    Swiftech Storm (not apogee)
    Swiftech 655
    Maze 4 gpu
    dual heatercore
    2x silverstone fm121

and a Zalman Passive hard drive cooler. They really dont' need that much cooling.

A dual heatercore is overkill for that system. If you want a kit look at Asetek. Your harddrive doesn't really need watercooling.

Not particularly. Hop on over to dtekcustoms.com, and pick up a whitewater. Much better than an apology

    Thats not a great question.
Each has its ups and downs. Really depends on what your using with it, and what for.

Again, how long is a piece of string?

Start by reading the threads specified in the "useful links" sticky. Be enlightened. ;)

It might be also a good idea to read through watercooled projects.
Gives you a decent insight into whats popular and why from the people who use it ;)

Good luck with your watercooling. It shouldn't be hard as long as you keep all the components the same hose diameter and remember

always leak test for 24 hours away from computer components
