i tried to relocate the eject switch and the led in my cdrom, i already did the switch. but i can't find a good power source for the led, if i just use the 2 pin on the old led, the new led's light will be so thin, and if i connect to the main power connector, it always on... this is my first time doing electronic modding... sohelp me out here plz

This is the second thread of yours I'm moving from this forum.

So you want 5VDC that flashes in sync with your activity LED?

Yeh, good luck with that.

The thing that comes to mind is getting a half-volt or full volt and adding it to the + of the activity LED. Not recommended though.

i just want to add another cdrom led without have to take the old led out. if i connect both led in the same pins, my new led will only have thin light, so i need to get the power from some where else.
i tried using the power from the main power supply connector, but the led light up all the time.
is there any ways to do this?
