Hey, I want to build an gaming computer. I have ordered most of the components, and i should have everything within 2 weeks. However since this would be the first time im trying this im not really confident about it, and i dont want to do something wrong only to regret after. So im seeking for an experienced pofessional from London to help me get this job done. I can provide the transport and a fee, the ideal day for this would be a saturday, since is my day off. The spec would be: haf 932 case, i5-2500k cpu, 8gb ram, z68 motherboard, gtx 570, crucial 256gb ssd If anyone is interested please let me know. Cheers
Where in London? I think you will be fine, read lots of threads and guides about setting it up and go from there. It really isn't as scary as you think it will be! Once you hit a problem come on here and someone will very quickly get you an answer!
I already have the case, the power supply and the motherboard, so i thought id give it a go and start with these until the rest of the stuff arrives. I have managed to fix the power supply in the case after alot of sweating, and when the motheboard was next it really put me off the number of cables and the extra things i got in the boxes i dont even know what they are for....
Watch, watch again then re watch just to make sure. Have you got any insurance in case you mess up? Such as Scansure. I am not certain it is sensible to ask a total stranger to come over and build a computer for a fee... if that person, no matter how much rep he has on here, messes up, he can walk away and you're left with an expensive problem or legal conflict.
Another point to add is how beneficial it is, in the long run, to do this yourself. There may be some pro system builders or technicians that read this and think I am talking crap but honestly... If I had to call up some guy and pay £xx per hour every time to fix my PC or swap a part, I would have gone bankrupt or been forced to quit. If you really want to get into this utterly addictive, cash sink of a hobby then learn to DIY and save heaps. If you get stuck, post on here or google the problem. Most new builder mistakes have been made countless times before, I myself have made plenty and still do.
If I have a sat free I could always do it. Wouldn't ask for a fee or anything. Just cool to show you. I know enough that's for sure. I've had dual loops/phase coolers, basic systems. SR-2 builds and all that jazz. It's just if I can get a sat free. Based in Essex so not far from east London. Pm me your location
Thank you for reply/advice, i will give it another go after i read more. If i'll still need the help later on i'll pm you, thanks for the reply.
