thanks for the link, just what i was after (now gotta wait for some more cash in my account), if this works this salvaged mainboard (micro ATX) will be my new server with a groundbreaking mod, no case but all bolted to the wall, imagine the respect you would get for that a computer without a case but the mainboard, drives & psu are all bolted to a wall with the wires runing neatly inbetween all the bits

(skip scavending has alwasy been a hobby in my family but my dad simply pulled furnature, i have now moved on &* the board is nearly dry so we shall soon see if it works)
/me getting exited (& waiting for my bank ballance to go up)

schools, they have a habit of getting rid of farly new equiptment, unis, colleges, offices, anywhere, try the bins of PC world if you get despirate, anywhere they build, repair upgrade of sell computers you will find skips & as far as i know if it fully dries out & there is no corrosion, it does not matter much if it gets wet

there seems to be a heck of a lot of the cartrage based ones on e-bay & as the board i pulled out of the trash cna take a socket or a catraged p3 up to 850 ( ithink it can @ least) the cartrage ones are perfect for jsut setting it up as a server that is if it works, i dont kno if it will as it was dripping when i pulled it out of the skip but its bone dry now & no corrosion

(must remember to check the skip for a p2 cpu as im sure i saw more slot 1 boards but they were all smashed by the automotive department & college just got rid of the p2's if i get a few i may be interested in selling them
