Hey... I recenly got a 2.8GHz PIV and I need a new vidcard... I'm running a Hercules 3d prophet 2 ti 64mb right now and I think it's time for a small upgrade... I'm selling it for $60CND and here are the options of what I can get (Unless some one wants to sell/trade me :D )

All prices are in Canadian Dollars!!!

    $99.95 Ati Radeon 7500 64MB w DVI/TV-out OEM

    $129.99 Asus V8170 Geforce 4 MX440-SE 64MB DDR 4X AGP w/TV-out

    $149.99 Asus V8170 GeForce 4 MX440 64MB TV out

    (The SE is alittle slower)

    $149.99 MSI G4MX440-T8X 64MB w/TVO, 8X AGP

or if all comes to the worse...

    $169.99 Ati Radeon 8500LE 128MBDDR

or (I don't know the difference again)

$169.99 Ati Radeon 9000 128MB DDR w/ Digital Video Out (OEM)

ATI to this day has a strike against it for such CRAPPY drivers support (may have been only in the past, but I'm still bitter) and NVidia has a huge strike against it for killing 3dfx.... 3dfx 4 EVER!!!!!!

So help me out here, please!!! :sigh:

Don't get any of the nVidia cards that you've listed. The MX series is rubish. I'd say either go the ATI route or save up a bit more and get a TI4200.

Agreed :) Ti4200 is an excellent card for the money, and far more future proof than the Gf4 MXs....

don't get an geforce MX of anything, they suck, will hardly be any better then what you have now. Like the others say get a Geforce 4 ti4200 as they are dirt cheap now, only £100 dunno what that is in canadian dollars.

i used a currency converter and $270 canadian dollars seems about right. Thats very cheap for such a high performance card, right?
