iirc plasmas have a 0.001 response time - therefore excellent for gaming. Image retention is not a problem anymore so you are safe with plasmas
You only really need to pay attention to image retention when the plasma is brand new, and even then its not much of a problem with modern plasmas - it tends to be mild image retention as opposed to full on screen burn. I've had some hugely extended gaming sessions on mine (I'm talking all day/night for days on end, how I dearly miss unemployment) with plenty of static images with no hint of image retention.
Really ? To be fair, the statement you have just made is pure fudge. There ate things you have to factor into that statement such as, if you are playing cod and your target is in the distance at only a few pixels in width, you have to factor in that really what your seeing is already out of date, then when you aim at that target your sight is also out of date. Also if someones tv has minimal input lag and they are your opponent, they have a quicker response to what they are seeing and greater accuracy as a result.
Come on guys! Hey. Either 90% of people replying to this post just dont want to stick to the topic, or you dont know what you are talking about. Solidus' problem here is that hes a real gamer, and real gamers wants to win. Point is that gamers dont care if they can notice a difference between 60ms and 59 ms input lag. But there are other players in competetive gaming, and if you opponent has 1 ms faster lag than you, and you and the guy you wanna kill has the same reaction time in real life, HE WINS beacuase of the 1 ms in difference. So stop talking about if you notice or not, YOU notice when YOURE dead! (Im also really interrested knowing about the best TV when it comes to input lag btw )
so what kind of tv did we decide was the best, lcd, plasma, make and model. we are looking for a new tv for the games. my 50 inch hd plasma lg has noticable lag and my son gets killed. thanks for any help
