Hey guys, I've been trying to mod one of my fans to do the spinning LED mod to it but everytime i try to get the circle magnet out of the inside of the fan blade housing it just doesnt budge. I have tried 3 different fans, one 60mm off a coolermaster HSF, a 80mm ADDA from my Lian-li pc60 and a Panaflo L1A 80mm. I have drilled a small hole in the tops of each housing to push the magnets out but they still wont budge.

does anyone know how to get the damn magnet out?

They are not easy to get out. Mine wasn't glued, but you need to drill a hole directly above it and push it out with a small screwdriver.

Be careful though! I was playing around with a $1 fan and I broke off the fins on the fan while getting that ring out.. lol

Yup.. lol. I really only bought it to destroy it, the fan was such a piece of crap it would not be of much use cooling a system.

It was still fun to do though
