need help with new rig for VR

    hello,

    It's been a long time since I've upgraded my PC. I have a i5 2500k with a ATI 290X and 8Gbs of RAM. I'm planning to build a new rig for (serious) VR (e.g. upcoming half-life title) . However I am kind of lost with all the new tech , new GPUs, AMD processors etc etc. Can you guys post your ideal setup for around 1000$ mostly for gaming and VR. that is motherboard, cpu, gpu and ram.I'm not into LEDs and blinking lights , i would actually rather have no lights at all.
