Hi all. I have designed up a grill in 2d that I would like a 3d version of Is anyone interested to doing a 3d version of it for me. I can supply DXF CAD files. Would be nice if anyone has got nothing to do and wants to have a play.
Put the DFX up on media fire, post a link here, and we can have a race to see who can finish it first ;p need some more details than just 3D version, depth any cut-in's etc. But just pop it up and we'll have a look at it. By the way, sketchup is really simple and really free, you should have a go yourself.
Ok uploaded file. http://rapidshare.com/files/418173630/Drawings.zip Type of 3d umm one that I can open or import into Turbocad 17. http://www.turbocad.com/Portals/1/Charts/TC_17_File_Formats.pdf Thanks.
rats, haven't got around to reinstalling my cad apps yet. just had a quick look at it in illustrator, thats a 2 minute modelling job in solidworks, but potentially a 45 min install delay of solidworks.
On the file. The red and blue and green holes go all the way through the plate the purple only goes 1mm into the back of the plate and the edges on the top are round at 2.5mm same with the middle green hole I just havent drawn that yet. Hope this sounds right. Its a plate that bolts into a 140mm fan hole and you mount a 120mm fan in it also a gap for a ACRYAN MeshX grill. Thanks.
Anyone have a go? Im have just been looking into the 3dpart on my software and done a cube. The parts are for my project. Going to get them cnc cut. If someone wants to draw them up so i han use them I would be happy to put your name on the drawings in my project log. Thanks.
Google removed import DFX/DWG from the free version of SketchUp... Which is a bit like giving a mate a free car, without a petrol tank, or spark plugs, or key's. So unless someone has a version of SU6, or 7.1with the import ruby, or the pro version...
Not just google. 3DS MAX won't let me open them either. Try exporting to a more friendly filetype. Then someone might give it a go.
