well i have been living with my little ati 9200se for over a year now(it was all i could afford at the time). I finnally have the money(little more then 200 USD) to step up and i cant decide what is better. For a while i was looking at a 9600xt( http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-123-132&depa=1 ), but now i discovered i can afford a 9800pro 128mb. i noticed that many of the new 9800pro's accualy are 9800xt's but with downgraded bio's. my thought is that i could oc a 9800pro to xt speeds or even replace the bios with xt bios. SO my question is what card is better a 9800pro or a 9600xt Before and after oc'ing. http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-127-127&depa=1 I was considering this 9800pro. Thanks for all your help.
for a couple of $ more, u can get the 6600gt agp which is faster then the 9800pro and has all the latest features
prejudice is a crutch. your loss. given that though, i would definately go with the 9800pro 128mb, just make sure its 256 bit and not 128bit, or an "SE" "EZ" or "LE" etc version. The one you linked looks great, a bit overpriced when comparing to a 6600gt with its new tech and all but we've covered the nvidia thing. The 9800pro should beat the pants of the 9600xt both before and after overclocking.
